RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Basically, you know how there are websites where you can put in your email address, and get emails from the site about new content, or updates? Well, RSS can be used for that, too. Except, you don't have to put in an email address to get site updates (so there's absolutely no chance of your email address being sold to anyone, but you still get your daily updates so you don't miss out on anything!). All you need to take advantage of RSS is something called a "feed reader". Where can you get a feed reader?

The Opera browser has a built in newsreader. All you need to do is click the FeedReader link and it will automatically subscribe you!

You can use the "sage" extension for Firefox, if you happen to prefer Firefox.

If you're stuck using Internet Explorer for some unfortunate reason, you can set up a web-based feed reading account at Bloglines.

That's all there is to it. It really is that easy, and once you start using it, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it! RSS isn't just useful for keeping track of sites like mine, either. You can use it on almost any major news website to receive consistent, timely updates about any subject that happens to interest you.

Have fun with RSS, and I look forward to you using it on my own site!
